Supercomputing Center
Tours of the University of Alaska's Supercomputing Center of
offered every summer.
For 2002, they will be offered from
June 12 through August 28, Wednesdays at 1 p.m.
The Free tours meet in the
supercomputing viewing area in the basement of the Butrovich building on
the UAF campus.
Included is an overview that includes presentations about science and engineering research under
way at the center, and a look at the hardware in use. There are now virtual
reality and 3D modeling demos in a "hands-on" portion of the tour, which
follows the introduction.
The center is located in the Butrovich building, on the west ridge
